For personal reasons I wish to mine Siacoin. Preferably just Siacoin instead of dual eth+sc if this provides a lot more Siacoin (or is this like, insanely stupid?) I have downloaden Marlin and everything outlined on Siamining dot com yet when I start the miner it shuts off in a few miliseconds. Obviously I am. Today I set up some mining for SiaCoins, just to try it out. It is another cryptocurrency, decentralized for Cloud-hosting/storing. More info @ It was pretty easy if you have linux (haven't done it on Windows yet). All you have to do is download the Sia Wallet: Install it and write down your wallet 'code': YourSiacoinAddress (will be used below) Then head over to Here you have the help you need to make it happen: The final comman I ran is:./marlin -u YourSiacoinAddress.YourWorkerName -I 28 Workername is simply 'whatever you want'. Here's a picture of what it looks like when you start getting successful hashes: SiaCoin (SC) is an interesting Crypto that has good potential to run in the future. Also the techinicals are looking pretty nice. You can trade it.
